    Icon1 Understanding the Day1 DB files

    In the wake of Lusted/CA's release of the Day 1 DB files, I will be consolidating all of my findings concerning these files here. I welcome everyone to do the same, regardless of the fact that an identical file may exist from ETW or Shogun II. Consider this an introduction to Warscape modding in Rome II--a much needed introduction for those of us coming from RTW or M2TW!

    UNIT MODIFICATION

    battle_entities.xml - e.g., hit points, speed, and mass of a unit type
    land_units_to_unit_abilites_junctions.xml - e.g., special abilities that a unit possesses
    land_units.xml - e.g., primary stats of a unit
    main_units.xml - e.g., # of men in a unit; # of men on a ship; cost of unit
    naval_units.xml - e.g., movement points for both naval and transportation units

    This is just outstanding. Thanks and CA as well. My game comes today and I already see some of the tools appearing to make adjustments. Made my day?

    I see 3 pre-battle speeches files, dose this mean we could bring them back? pre_battle_speech_parameters_enum pre_battle_speech_types_enum pre_battle_speeches

    Pray for Pastor Saeed, and here is a link to sign a petition for his release: http://beheardproject.com/saeed#sign

    They are in game, they are just not Cinematic like they used to be.

    unit hitpoints can be changed via <bonus_hit_points>x</bonus_hit_points> it seems that each unit type has a base hitpoint value. I have not found where this is located yet.

    Among all of these xmls, there's a "family_relationship_types"

    <relationship_type>child</relationship_type>
    </family_relationship_types>
    <family_relationship_types record_uuid="{bf87e2ff-31a0-4692-98dd-4a6aac5ccbf3}">
    <relationship_type>sibling</relationship_type>
    </family_relationship_types>
    <family_relationship_types record_uuid="{c8559aae-6b60-4249-8672-cb59b89f01e1}">
    <relationship_type>spouse</relationship_type>
    </family_relationship_types>
    Vestige of Shogun II or proof of a family tree of sorts under the hood?

    Hello, I've been looking for a way to mod the Auxiliary AOR of the Roman faction, but without experience nor tools I couldn't. In any case the region_unit_resources.xml deals with it.

    The QA sticky has a couple, but if you want exact regions you have to go into the startpos (somewhere in world/regions it lists which AoR's that region belongs to)
