Ummmm... No. Go to the settings from the picture I can see that buildings, particle and sky is on low. Turn the AA on and the second one I forget how to call it in English, the one that is Trillinear on lowest setting turn it up. Turn on the particle effect SSAO, etc...
y cant this game have MSAA just like shogun 2...i trying to tune up to the quality as in the trailer...i checked my AppData\Roaming\The Creative Assembly\Rome2\logs , and it doesnt have any gfx.log.
gfx.log is created when the game downgrade the graphics for you....
This is a SCAM
The game we saw in trailers and previews was another one...
"Ingrata patria, ne ossa quidem mea habes"
- Scipio Africanus, Roman General
This is my game on very high- ultra settings. ( note, only a few settings are extreme)

Looks almost exactly like the Teutoburg forest gameplay we've seen. Only difference, they maxed out the game. I didn't.

Don't forget to turn on unlimited video memory, otherwise it will not show the highest graphics settings that you have selected, or something along those lines.
Extreme still looks like crap compared to Shogun 2.
That's because we can't seem to use MSAA just yet. Just some sort of blurred anti aliasing, which can only be turned on or off. No MSAA options. Without the jagged lines, everything will look so much better.
What are you blabbering on about? You claimed CA falsely advertised, and that their game does not match their trailers. THESE PICTURES ARE FROM THE HISTORICAL BATTLE. Which happens to be one of the tiles on the campaign map. Should I make more screenshots to make your claim look more stupid?

Got most of my settings on very high-ultra, with a few excepts on high and extreme. Once CA gets the MSAA going, this game is going to look even better.

I'm confused as to what you're implying. Are you saying that, somehow, the graphics engine/animations are somehow entirely different for the historical battles than they are for for the campaign battles? You do realize that doing that would make absolutely no sense whatsoever, right? Why would they make two builds of the same engine and implement them both in different areas of the game for the exact same thing (overhead, rts-style battles)? The graphics are great, it's the optimization that's screwy.
@GrudgeNL
Looking good.

Doesn't look much different from mine and i am running everything on extreme except unit detail, its on ultra until optimization.
The bleached out colours need some tweaking and msaa is needed badly, its quite an eyesore really. For all the amazing looking previews we were shown its quite a let down to have the worst looking total war since Rome 1.
Is this game really that bad?
1. Playability?
2. graphics?
3. campaign?
American, French, Israeli and British government's ILLEGAL aggression against the Syrian people, without any proof for chemical attacks in Douma, and without waiting for OPCW to conduct their investigation..
Sons of *******, leave that poor, war torn country in peace.
If you are a citizen of one of these countries, then DO NOT ask any help from me on these forums, since, in protest against this aggression by your governments, I do not provide assistance/help anymore.
Let Syria be finally in peace.
A video of false chemical attack in Douma, Syria, which led to Western illegal attacks.
1. The game is playable with a lot of new features introduced never seem before in its predecessor. However, the AI for now isn't much useful, they rarely trade with you. In my campaign, Carthage doesn't even defends its own capital. 2. Graphic wise its just as i posted this to ask, i didn't even know if my graphic is "extreme mode" as its supposed to be. This happened to many people so i came and clarified. 3. Campaign give you a bigger feeling with huge map. Each provinces consist of a few regions. You need to capture all the regions in the provinces to pass on edicts.
I will post some images from my game with all maxed and then we will se if the usual ranters will still have something to say. The pics shown are really the same to what CA showed us so the did not lie to us but instead people who are lying
Great images! I'm at work at the moment. I'm itching to get home and test the settings. BTW Ataegina has found a fix for the textures - it's in the tech support forum.
