How do I turn the tactical battle 3D unit face insets on?

I noticed in the previews when you clicked on a unit even a lowly hastati unit would have an inset in the lower left showing a face and reporting ready.
Where did this go?

You can switch between the info (attack, defence, etc...) to the face, there is a button somewhere.

At the bottom of the screen there's a circular arrow icon, us it to cycle between the faces, or the unit info. There's also an option to hide it entirely.
