Decent Computer Crappy Frames

Hi all i currently run an AMD based computer with a highish level GPu. CPU is ok but when I played shogun I got around 60 fps Ultra now in Rome i'm lucky to get 20 on low settings.

My specs are as follows

AMD 7870 GPU

AMD 6300 CPU

Patriot 1866 8GB Memory

1Tb Seagate HDD 1500 RPM

Is this my PC or my specs because I need to know if i should upgrade thanks.

Welcome to the club, i have much more powerful computer than you and i get same FPS if not worse.

Well it's comforting to know this hopefully the next patch will address these issues. I didn't invest 1k into a PC to get 20 FPS on low settings.

Don't get your hopes up that the next patch will fix even half of our issues. This game will take months to get right, and even then might not be right. It's in horrible shape right now, and I am being honest as anyone could be. I was looking forward to this game as much as anyone, spent everyday checking the forums etc. I am extremely disappointed and if things don't shape up in the next few months, i am done with this warscape engine, its trash.

Same. Not sure what all the fuss is about. I'd actually like lower frame rates to make the battles last a bit longer, but oh well

Try the workaround posted on the official forums. I enabled windowed mode and it fixed the 'blurry even on extreme texture' problem.. AT FIRST. Then I tried enabling to override the video memory, it looks great but there's a small yet noticeable lag.

Just have to wait for the patch then.
