    Default Help with a song!!!

Hey, you probably have heard Gabriel faure, there is a piece by him called Pavane in F-sharp minor; his opus #50. What I want is someone that can tell my the lyrics. I have been looking everywhere for the lyrics but I just simply haven't been able to find them. I have spent hours, hours looking for them, so here I ask for help if anyone knows French (I think is french the language in which is sung) to please to tell me the lyrics. BTW I don't need the translation... I'll figure that out by myself...Thank you in advance...

Well, I eventually found the poem... so here it is for anyone that cares...

On s'adore! On se hait! On maudit ses amours!
On s'adore!

It's Lindor, it's Tircis, and all our conquerors!
It's Myrtil, it's Lydé, the queens of our hearts!
How insolent they are, how ever-proud!
How they dare rule our fates and our days!
"Pay attention!" Follow the the beat! O deadly insult!
The rhythm isn't so slow! And the fall surer!
We'll pull them down a peg or two!
    We'll soon be their lackeys!
How ugly they are! Dear little face!
How crazy they are! Flirtatious airs and graces!
And it's always the same! And it's thus always!
We love one another! We hate one another! We curse our loves!
Farewell, Myrtil! Eglé! Chloé! Mocking fiends! Farewell then and greetings to the tyrants of our hearts!

The poem was written by poet, friend of Faure; Count Robert de Montesquiou-Fezensac (1855-1921).

Here is my favorite song by him Faure...

    Tu rayonnais comme un ciel éclairé par l'aurore;
    Splendeurs inconnues, lueurs divines entrevues,
Hélas! Hélas! triste réveil des songes
Je t'appelle, ô nuit, rends moi tes mensonges,
    Reviens, reviens radieuse,
    Reviens ô nuit mystérieuse!
    Tuba mirum spargens sonum
    per sepulcra regionum,
    coget omnes ante thronum
