In legendary, you're not allowed to reload saves. You must continue, defeat/failure/denial.

So many times, I've caught myself telling myself, "no reloading" and playing through and still doing it after a general dies or an agent fails. That's why I HAVE to play legendary, even though I prefer Hard/Very Hard.

There needs to be an option: "No Reloading" much akin to the legendary aspect for other difficulties. It's so much more fun when your mistakes have consequences, when your failures carry weight. Even those on normal difficulties should have the -option- to play through without being able to time travel every time a disagreeable occurrence occurs.

Very easy to put in. I don't see why it's not there. And it would help alleviate a lot of these, "The AI is garbage" threads. It won't make the AI any stronger but at least it will be more punishing when it does get the upper hand.

You could just, I dunno, make the actual choice to not reload. I don't see the need to code in a "Iron Man" option when you can simply choose to not do it.
