Is there a reason for the crazy battle speed ?
Why is the battle speed so ridiculously fast ? Could it have been speeded up to compensate for drops in FPS due to poor optimisation ? Surely someone at CA tested this game and found battles are over in around four minutes? With the running speeds of men ,horses and battles so fast surely it must have been put on a higher speed for some reason or are CA just stupid ? Any thoughts on why it is so high ?

They're using the same engine as Shogun 2 in Rome II withut having made enough changes.
So we got Legionaires dying as fast as kamikaze samurai
