Okay, I have a question, what would be better, two SLI Geforce 6600 GT's, or one Geforce 7950GXs(I think)? What would have better graphics and how exactly does SLI improve graphics?

Definitely the the Geforce 7950GX2 (Or 7950GT, not sure which one your talking about). SLI pretty much make 2 graphics card render the same frame at the same time, doubling the performance. But a 6600GT is pretty old, a 7900 series card is wayyyy better than 2 6600GTs.

I hate to be the one raining on the parade but SLI does not double performance. Take a look at the benchmarks:

It really depends on what game you're running but most of the time you're not going to see anything close to a 100% increase in frame rate. My advice is only to go SLI if the most powerful Nvidia card on the market isn't enough for you. As cool as having 2 video cards instead of one sounds (probably the main reason people buy SLI setups), you'll get much more bang for your buck with one powerful card instead of two less powerful ones.

Always go for the single card solution over SLI/Xfire. Why buy two cheapo cards, when for the same money you can buy a single good card that will outperform them in SLI...
