Default Come out, come out, whever you are my little Etruscans

So I'm playing as Rome and I have taken the Italian peninsular after moving against the Etruscans almost immediately. I have also taken their town on Corsica. I thought that was it, I thought that would wipe them out ... but they're somewhere else and their armies are still rampaging around. I only saw them on the peninsular and in Corsica, so now I'm at a loss to figure out where else they may be. The diplomatic screen does not so them on there, the campaign map does not show them ... so any ideas how I can figure out where their last province/s is/are?

Normally they are in northern italy and they control sardinia. If you look in the diplo map normally you should see where they are(the red provinces) even if its in a fow area.Edit: As said below you also need to wipe out their navies.

I believe a faction isn't considered wiped out until all of its armies are wiped out. So, chances are they have a small band of freedom fighters hiding out somewhere, or floating around on a boat.

If you are destroying an faction you have also to take out their last armies. Only capturing all settlements is not enough. A good idea in my eyes, because in earlier titles you could just ninja snatch the last settlement of a faction and their last armies disappeared in to nothing, in FotS they were at least rebels, now the faction is still existing. A good way to get rid of them without fighting is killing the general with an agent. I saw it happend that the army disappears than, because they are unable to attend a new general.

Particularly smelly cheese, I suspect. it *is* one of the reasons why we went to war with them.

Joking to oneside, the ingame maps are not showing them on there so perhaps I do have to remove their armies as well (I always thought that the removal of their last town did it, but perhaps not). They DO have armies on the map, so I'll have to start whittling them down.

One of the best new features I think, it's great how they can run out of the hills and in a do or die attempt to reclaim a province.

Hey all, a quick question a bit off topic but related to the Etruscans that I m fighting with Rome. I was near one of their city shore with a fleet and some random Dalmatiens (dunno how it is in english) attacked them. And I was considered as their reinforcement...what??!! I have no diplomatic relations with them and they "ally" with me for one fight??? Have any of you witnessed that or is it a bug. I think it's pretty cool and makes some sense...but...
