Mkay...I am not going to argue with you, dude, live in ignorance...

I have actually taken my computer apart and looked at it...have you?

    "Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-2630QM CPU @ 2.00GHz (8 CPUs), ~2.0GHz"

    ...some come with only 4

    and I have 100-150 units battles...no problem...

No, you have a quad core cpu with hyperthreading.

Just because you have a quad core cpu with 4 hyperthreads in it does not mean that your CPU will function as a octo-core cpu would.
The hyperthreads don't add as much power as an actual physical core would.

Indeed, i7 CPUs have only 4 physical cores, but hyperthreaded.

    LOL! Wow...

This little processor discussion is - shall I say? - is rather surreal. Kinda like listening to a mentally challenged homeless guy try to educate someone on how to become self-sufficient. Seriously, now.

Condottiere SOG, your PC only has 1 CPU, which has 4 cores, and each core has 2 threads = 8 threads, so not 8 CPUs, and not 8 cores.

If your PC had even 2 CPUs, it would cost as much as a cheap car, and besides, 4 cpus is the most you can have in PC these days; that's very high server grade though (TWC is running 4 CPUs with 16 cores each), the highest pro-sumer is 2 cpu boards.

If you were playing on 100-150 units, then you must have shadows on fairly low, unit detail on fairly low, and unit size fairly low. My CPU has twice the power of yours, and I can't play the game fluently on highest detail with 20 units on the field.

And I've seen a PC with your CPU in it; it's less than special these days.

Can anyone make the unit cards smaller though, so we can see the 40 units in the army?

It is not possible to mod the campaign_model values for this, via an included starpos file within a .pack file? My experiment so far seems to show that this can only be done via a save game starpos file. This is a big problem for my mod.
