Few basic questions

1:How do you split armies?trying to take a few units out of an army to help garrison a town, but cant figure out how to do it.2:How do you combine armies?Seems like every unit i recruit has a general status on it, and since game wont allow 2 generals in same army i cant merge them?Thanks in advance

You can't split armies. The best you can do is raise a new army in a city then move one to the other and transfer troops between them. You always have to create the army first, then move troops into it.
