Battles are fine UNLESS I hold spacebar...
So like everyone else I'm getting somewhat mixed performance (I'm running high/very high on a i5-3750k and a 660ti with SMALL unit size right now getting 60fps on campaign map and in a battle, but only around 30 when units are in melee, I can live with that).. but my fps goes into the toilet every time I hold space bar / click and drag the units and those 3d modeled 'ghosts' showing where the units are going to end up pop up. Doesn't matter what settings I'm using and I've tried both small and extreme unit sizes, no matter what I do it will go down to 9fps exactly when I hit spacebar. So is there a way to make it so it just shows a circle like Shogun 2 did or am I stuck with the lag button until Rome 2 gets optimized?

I agree.
Desperately needs an option to use the 2d circles which we used to have...

The ghosts are unnecessary, the circles were functional and they did not drop the performance.

I'm glad CA decided to make the little things like project trails toggleable, because people like to complain. Would be nice to see a check box for this too.
