I am hooked on the game and all, and played it all day long yesterday, but.. The Pike phallanx is sadly a dissapointment... I always loved useing pike phallanxes in Rome 1, reading up on ancient battles and then fight my own The Macedonian phallanx of 5 ranks of bristling spear points standing there like a almost impenetrable wall. Then you recruit your first pike phallanx in Rome 2, and you see actually units running straight through a pike phallanx in pike formation standing still... I have have tested several custom battles against Athenian hoplites, and they just walk/charge through the pikes.. immedietly and get right up in the face of the pikemen... Or if they want to run to the capture point, they can just run straight through and to the capture point. CA is this a bug? or are pike phallanxes supposed to be this way in Rome 2? The hole point of the Pike Phallanx is to kill at a distance right? and keep enemy soldiers from getting through the pikes if they can.What are people's thoughts on the Pike Phallanx? and CA, are they ment to be this way?
