Do you mean expansions or future games?

For expansions it really depends on the changes and whether I am at all interested. I will get them eventually, the previous factors just determine whether I buy it at launch or in a sale.

For future games I definitely will not be buying it at launch, a first since I became a fan. This time they have lost my trust and therefore any pre-order temptation. I will wait to see the quality of the game, and then determine whether to buy it full price or wait for a sale.

More people need to do this... sick of companies bringing games out half-baked.

I think i'll not buying any addon,

After two years of waiting i'm a bit disappointed with the launch of Rome II. I don't want to repeat my all reasons but cut the story short i'm not happy with the simplification and streamlining of micromanagement aspects and incredibly CoH-ish confusing battles. TBH, im a man of EB style gameplay which is immersive, detailed and demanding. And i know that is a subjective perspective but that's the truth.

Current situation of the game leaves me no choice. Thanks for the efforts of CA i believe they tried to make their best but it's not my cup of tea.

I expect a lot to be fixed with R2 in the next few weeks/months. But then, it will probably be the same as with ETW, NTW, S2TW, FOTS: I won´t buy all of the DLC, but many of them. Decided from case to case. And I am 99% sure I will buy the next TW game anyway.

With the current state of the game? A wholehearted no. Even if the performance is fixed, the battle speed is just terrible and I don't see them overhauling their entire combat system. I guess now we see why there's no demo. I think this'll be the last piece of total war that I pre-order, or even buy.

Shogun2 DLCs were useless while I have bouth all of them for ETW and NTW. I will do the same for RTW2 as I am happy with the game and it's really worth invest money on them.

I'll be skipping the next one, not the next add on, the next entire game.

A clear signal has to be sent now and I hope everyone does it as well. Don't buy the next game. Don't buy any additions. Don't buy any DLC. Let CA sweat a bit until they get it through their head that releasing what amounts to a failure of Colonial Marines proportions every few years will lose them their fanbase and community.

These are some of the most dedicated people I have ever seen and they are repeatedly treated like , flat out lied to and used like a crutch. Talked down to like they are a bunch of idiots all so that CA/SEGA can sell their precious DLC. I say no more. CA, SEGA and their next game. I'll grab it up in the bargain bin if I remember to do that at all.

If you keep on buying their DLCs even with a broken base game, you have no self respect as a gamer.

Hell no. They need to repair the game, and its gameplay, for me to even consider buying anything from them again.

Nope. If they only give us 4-minute-battles I can't see the meaning of buying extra content. Already auto-resolve the arcadish-battles.

Hit the nail on the head the battles are a joke and not worth playing . Why CA ?

Throughout my whole gaming carrier ,I just pre-ordered games twice. 1st one was Red Orchestra 2 and now This pile of **** Rome 2 ! And I regret preordering both. However I should admit that at least Tripewire Interactive proved to be more honest and care more about their fans and actually love their creation. So eventually they not only fixed the bugs ,but also improved the gameplay and added new game mode for those fans who demanded better - more realism. so I have a lot of respect for them as they accepted their flaw(s).

I'm not gonna pre-order anything (not just CA's games) again. And I'm not going to buy future DLCs except they change the gameplay as well (not just fix the bugs). But We all know CA's not gonna admit did it wrong !

Honestly I am donw with CA , unless I see a change in the very base Design team for the next title ! I won't trust anything anymore coming from them ... and their Kind of Teen level advertizement.

I cannot see it as personally i think i have been kicked in the nuts.I was looking forward like i always am to the games and i bought every NTW expansion to both enjoy myself and fund the next game.I bought and still own every single Shogun II DLC to find the next game and got my game butchered by Fall of the Samurai and the gloss removed.I need not remind people about the gloss thread screenshots and screaming we had to do to get the game fixed. It went from the most stunning visual RTS ever to a faded average DX 11 game.

Granted i got it back but i learned a lesson from it pumping money into thier projects does not equal success.Just look at R2 and the budget and the failure. So no unless the game gets majorly revamped and huge investment on say barbarian invasion i will not be spending a single penny until the next good and polished TW game.

If you look past the bugs the game is as good as any other TW game, some features are removed, others are added, the game still remains good enough to play in my eyes when compared to the unmodded others. I will buy the DLC unless it's something useless like a blood DLC.
