Default Any way to make troops move and fight slower in battles from the rome2 menu?

I thought that troop speed would be a default option in the settings... but all I can find is how fast tool tips come up and similar.
Realism mode seems to do some unrealistic things... but not slow down men to a realistic pace.

anybody know of a way to make troops move and fight slower on the battle map?

Sail your ship as part of a fleet. Devs previously worked on: Darthmod, World of Warplanes, World of Tanks, RaceRoom, IL2-Sturmovik, Metro, STALKER and many other great games..

I'd like that, too. Besides the other bugs and performane issues this is like a "plot stopper" to me.

None. It'll take CA making a patch or someone modding it for slower battles.

I think the pace is pretty good. Slower than Shogun 2, but not mind-numbing so. Still, the more choices, the better!

You are playing Rome 2? All my field battles are over in 4 minutes or so and that is with a minute of fighting and a minute of chasing down skirmishers and 2 minutes of marching. For me that isnt epic battles.

And sadly no there is no way of slowing battles except through modding

The problems is the charge which is simply ridicolous. Morevoer some cavalry type seem to fly as well morale too low... decent mods will come soon as always. Don't presume too much from CA instead...

I really thought they would have a slow down option this time around. It is requested enough.

In Rome 1 they had an option you could tick for Arcade-style battles. I have no idea why they removed this for Rome 2. It would have solved sooo many problems right up front.

Why do they force this arcade-like experience on us, I have no idea. It really is true what someone said yesterday, "CA has no idea what about their games their own fans like"

Slower than Shogun 2? In S2 I could occasionally make a battle last a full hour and still be fun by applying conservative tactics, in Rome 2 however? http://cloud-2.steampowered.com/ugc/...86ED018825BB1/ that battle took litterally 2:56 to steamroll, the battles need to be slowed down quite a bit, I like my battles to atleast last around 6-7 minutes. (this is at about turn 179 turns into an Iceni campaign)
