Default Sick and Tired of these reviewers giving Rome 2 good scores

I'm sick and in tired of these reviewers who get babied by CA with free review copies and who don't spend any time playing a game before they post a review on it, so they can "be the first person to review the game on the web, 3 minutes after the review copies were released".

    Review the in game, fanboys!

Except... most of the reviewers are pointing out most of the things that people on here are pointing out. Namely, lack of optimization, bugs, and AI problems. They simply also thought the game was good enough to see past those... they're points fall in line with most others, they simply didn't declare it garbage. And that makes their reviews untrustworthy?

Except that the forum is totally 100% overreacting, and the game is actually rather good?

Not sure if I'd say 100% overreacting, but there is a hell of a lot of overreacting going on around here. But, that's pretty much par for the course for a Total War release.

Super melodrama. You're tired of reviews that disagree with you, I'm tired of you (plural) spamming this forum and others with literally dozens of threads whining about this or that instead of keeping all the moaning concentrated in a few threads. Yet, here you are, regardless of my exhaustion.

i didn't buy this iteration because i know how CA operates. i also only play multiplayer and i was pretty sure that wasn't going to be worth $60.

The only thing you can really criticize reviewers about, is not playing for more than a few hours at most - Someone dug up the pre-release achievement statistics, and they weren't a pretty sight.

At the end of the day it is their opinion - never forget that. A review is not an objective analysis of the product - it is the reviewers opinion of the game and their experience with it (Which admittedly can be skewed due to the lack of playing hours. If you never pass the initial "Fresh rush" feeling, you'll miss some flaws)

Wow, the CA boys have really came out in storm over the last hour.

What took you guys so long? Did you just come back from a vacation on some exotic island? Or spend the day relaxing in your swimming pools filled of hard working TW fans money?

Here we have another the whiner registering just to whine. It's a pity that it seems to be the function of this forum nowadays. I hope in a few weeks time we can actually discuss the gameplay.

i don't give a crap about reviews. I buy games because i like them. If you are the type of person that believes on the reviews, then shame on you. The gaming journalism industry died a long time ago.

I believe CA is at fault in part for releasing a game so bugged. But the truly ones behind this are SEGA and their corporate mentality. CA was rushed to release the game. When we can honestly say, based on how it looks. This game should be a 2014 release.

    http://www.metacritic.com/game/pc/to...i/user-reviews

Look at the official "Critics" score, and then look at the user score. Sega dosen't like it when you say bad things about their game (:

Trusting user-reviews on metacritic is like trusting the 1-star Amazon reviews that criticize postage time.

Hmm .. I think that would be a better analogy when used in reverse towards 'critic' reviews

trusting individual user-reviews would be stupid but an average of hundreds of people seems to be more reliable than some critics
