Is the Grouping Option useless?

Seriously this is probably one of the most irritating things for me atm.

I like to put my army in a formation and then group them as 1 big unit that way if I want to move my army somewhere, they will advance in the Group Formation I put them in.

However, in this game for some stupid reason, I'll get that formation going, press G to Group, then when I try to move the army into another spot, by right clicking and moving it at the angle I want my army instead shows up as a single straight line.

Is this a bug or am I doing something wrong?

Hey Sebt!

I felt exactly the same way- Easy way to sort it though, if you press CTRL and G when you group them it puts them into a 'lock formation' group which will do exactly that and lock them in the formation that they're in. You can then move the group around in that formation. I had exactly the same problem for about six hours yesterday and as I love to move my army around in one massive group as well I appreciate how annoying that could be!

I noticed that, and I somehow doubt that's a conscious design decision. Could be a bug.

If it's WAD, it's a design choice I do not understand. At all.
