Default Fruity colors normal, or graphics problem?

I was rather shocked by how incredible my computer system is, that it can handle the game essentially on all Ultra settings fluidly---more so even than Shogun 2!

But seeing some of the graphical problems CA has acknowledged, I'm not entirely sure. Some of the units colors appear to be outlandish, even by Empire/Napoleon/Rome1 standards. Are these picture colors normal for Ultra settings and Shader 5?

The colours you are displaying seem to be very eye poppingly bright.During my game the same factions and colours are far more muted, and the green takes on an almost olive/forest tone vs the lime colouring I am seeing here.Perhaps contrast?

Perhaps you should try turning down Gamma?

Crank your Gamma down a bit.

There's no way that's on ultra, my game is on ultra and it looks like crap, but not as bad as that.

Did you tick "Unlimited video memory"?

My game IS on ultra. It's also windowed. The lighting affects the color greatly

I didn't have Unlimited Video memory ticked, but when I did, I saw no difference. When the lighting was right, it all actually looked incredible.
