Default Who is a superpower/strong on your campaign?

I'm playing my campaign as Macedon, and I have to say its Been Amazing.

iv noticed some big unfamiliar Empires growing.

the first is Media, they are taking modern day turkey by storm, and I'm assisting my Pergamon allies and we are losing the war efforts, (Sparta and Athens are assisting as well)

Carthage has been conquered by Masaesyli, and they are waging a massive war against another large empire, Garamantia in Africa.

Rome have been in a long war and finally defeated the Etruscan League, but are no threat.

so what large Empires have been forged on your game?

I've noticed this too. A lot of major factions are losing out and a lot of the minor factions are becoming super powers. I'm not really far enough yet to know any of the super powers except myself, playing as Rome. Sparta and I are allies along with Macedon and Athens, and Sparta is conquering for once rather than just sitting on their butts. I've started a campaign with Sparta and they seem really fun but doing my Roman campaign first.

The Garamantines are pretty much my arch rivals when I've been playing as Carthage. Everyone else comes to do war as well, but nobody is a scary as those desert dwelling rats. I mean uh....fine, fine people.

In my Averni nobody is really a super power, the Etruscans are still at war with Rome and have been sending stacks at each other to no avail since the start, I have a comfortable hold on Gaul with my confederation, and I have no aggression packs with both the spanish factions on my border.
The only empire I know of is Sparta, they seem to have killed every Greek faction but themselves, and they are in the province above Italy(noricum I think, the one above the Etruscans)

Well it sure as isn't Carthage! Everyone ganged up on me and i've pretty much had to resort to curling up in a abll and crying hoping that the other nations pity me enough and leave me alone. I'm getting straight up gang banged in my campaign and it's gonna be over soon if things dont turn for the better, like finding anyone who wants to ally with me(or even trade, is that asking too much?).

hehe, exactly the same that happened to me. 2 turns in, everyone and their mother declared war (pretty much the entire Iberia bordering me or Nova Carthago, and some African nations as well).. and strangely enough, neither Syracuse or Rome has declared on me yet.. when that happens, im dead.. Just no way i can fend off all of them.

Don't worry, they will. Syracuse will fire it off and then Rome will get involved. Don't spend too much on that territory. At least i wouldn't from my experience. I started off focusing on Iberia and next thing i knew Syracuse was on me. Even though i wiped the floor with them the whole island just kept ing rebeling and ruined me there. Spent way too much on it when i should have just bailed out and let them have it.

I'm playing as Pontus.... so far the Selucids have been holding strong and not losing too much. Only recently Arachosia has 5 or 6 provinces, and Macedon has 5 as well it seems. No one else I can see is troubling. I'm playing on hard? Whatever is just above medium.

Well, spending all damn night downloading Rome. Least I now know the Etruscans don't get pwned at the start.

I'm playing as Rome and I'm basically fiddling with the Etruscans. Not anymore though, they're dead now.

However, what is up with these Celts? They have beasty units and they love spamming missiles!
I honestly am having second thoughts about sending my experience legionaries up there!

EDIT: Forgot to answer the question. Garamantia is causing a fuss in my campaign too. I'm Rome so they don't bother me too much...yet. However, Arverni somehow made contact with me and they have a navy near northern Italy causing trouble against those other tribes above the Etruscans. God knows how big the Arverni has gotten. Last thing I need right now is someone spamming Oathsworn and slingers!

I found paying for a few trades at first began to get other nations asking for trade, maybe because I had other resources from different factions.

Sparta landed a grand army and are wiping out Median army's, this Greek League I have going is superb, I don't think anyone will have a chance fighting on Greek soil against me and my allies.

Perganum are struggling and would be doomed if it wasn't for us, I actually for once feel like a true ally, the amount of times iv fought battles alongside my friends of Greece is great.

That is so AWESOME!!! I can't wait. Have your allies aided you in specific battles? Or just complete their own objectives?

Edit: Lol what happened to my post

Well I set a war target for a city in the middle of Turkey hoping armies would arrive and try and force their way in, so far only Sparta an Perganum are assisting, Athens have stayed on their own soil.

Basically the Spartans landed and started moving towards te Enemy city and just got attacked, and are owning, they are an excellent ally, really aggressive.

Rome have finally started moving northwards from what I can see, they have united Italy and are mustering an army near my scout.

No one is a super power in my game, Factions grow, larger cities rebel, factions die or shrink. The AI cannot manage public order and is getting ed by it constantly. I also think that large cities are developing slums and the AI is not destroying them.
