Default Are Building Effects Province-Wide or City-Wide?

Has anyone else wondered this? As I've been playing, I've been looking for this answer but was unable to find one. For example, if I build a bunch of buildings that give military bonuses, do these have to be in the same city or in the same province? I know public order is province-wide, but I'm not so sure about other bonuses.

Jesus Christ. All the other threads (especially the hate threads) have completely swallowed up my thread. Bump.

Province wide. This allows you to specialize provinces over multiple cities.

So really you're not specialising....as it doesn't matter what you build where - as long as it's in the same province?

Depends. Food Supply, for instance, is Faction-Wide.

No, it's generally wise to specialize; just on a province level. For instance, Italia in my Rome campaign is my military center. Rome itself holds the barracks for the Roman troops, Velathri recruits my Socii, Neapolis builds ships and has workshops for siege weapons, and Ariminium has temples and training centers to boost their combat abilities.

So this means then that two temples to Mars would stack their bonuses?

I don't believe they stack, though I can't confirm that for certain.

I wish the game would explain all this.

I think a good chunk of it is explained in the encyclopedia and prologue, but I agree. It took me some digging around to figure out how the pieces fit together.

Has anyone been able to figure out for certain if the effects from the same buildings would stack in a province?

no idea, its something i've been wondering. Does two field of mars allow you to recruit 6 units a turn or the usual three. Its probably easy to test, just needs someone to spend four or so turns doing it (might do so myself and get back to you.)
