Two things that need to be done to fix the graphics.
Well anyone that has managed to play through some Rome without their eyes bleeding will know, it aint pretty at the moment. I think its down to two things and they are pretty obvious.
1. We need anti aliasing. To anyone that can manage or doesn't even notice, fair play to you, enjoy the game. Personally speaking i find it unplayable, id much rather play Rome 1. It may be old but its easy on the eyes.
Releasing a game in 2013 without anti aliasing is inexcusable, especially for a game like total war where there is so much on screen at once, at distances varying from metres to miles. MLAA just doesn't cut it and makes things worse if anything.
I think the release of Rome 2 just goes to show, anti aliasing is one of if not the most important graphical option there is in a game. Rome II might have alot of tech behind it but it looks like crap because there isn't any definition.
Literally every total war that has come before looks better. (With the exception of the first two of course)
2.Tone down the saturation. The colours in this game are so bleached out, this couldn't have been a design choice and if it was the designer has some very questionable taste, if you could even call it that. The colours in general need a complete rework, the game looks nothing like what we saw in preview builds.
This mish mash of off colours and jagged lines just look horrendous. I don't know how anyone could stand it. I'm just hoping they werent intentional design choices and a patch is on the way.
