Hello.
I was looking at the unit roster in the custom battles, and I see that most factions get about 20-30 units or so.
There are about 8 playable factions in-game,so this means there are only 160-240~ish units available in Custom Battle.
(Note, I am not including the DLC factions, because it was stated that the 700 units number were the launch numbers.)
What is the point of having 700 units in the game if:Q. Are there really going to be around 700 units in Rome II?
A. Yes, with all the land units, mercenaries, auxiliaries, artillery and ships there will be around 700 units in Rome II.
Q. I bet most of those are DLC units aren’t they?
A. No that is the number that will be in the game when it launches.
A) they aren't available in Custom Battle?
and
B) they aren't even for playable factions?
I am enjoying the game, but there are some bugs (prologue especially.) I hope all of these units are available in Custom Battle soon (if they are, and I am dumb, sorry.)
Also . . . trying to read the entire Encylopedia page on Units is very unintuitive. I think the interface is odd and resets each time, so it's hard to keep track of all the units there. And all the unit icons look exactly the same to me when there are all of them stacked up.
(Note: I have NOT counted every unit in the Encyclopedia.)
Sorry if this is a common issue. I searched the first ten pages for the word "unit" and searched for "700 units" via the search bar. (Most posts were about abilities, army size, texture problems, mods, etc.)
