Default Blood and gore is required to make battles MUCH more enjoyable

Alright, after a couple of hours in battle i can clearly say things looks quite not so bad as the first impression, what's lacking though is the blood. Without it, it doesn't feel like all these soldiers are alive, they're just like some empty shells running around poking other hollow bodies which makes the whole experience ditter.

Imagine these spartans be drenched in blood standing in the guts of their recently fallen enemy.

I know Total war games always had the PG rating and lack of gore but this is getting ridiculous. As the graphics evolves and details flourish it looks kinda weird that there's not a single drop of blood on a battlefield where thousands of warriors clash.
PG rating or R it doesn't matter, kids buy the games anyways. Everyone likes gore, and it sells, and satisfies. Rome 2 only possess the former, but thats for sure is part of business concept for a company, however, their honour went down just like the Shogun 2 Daimyos' are when backstabbing an ally.

Im looking forward to a moderate blood dlc.

Some blood on the killer (a little), blood on the dying (area specific would be cool) and small puddles of blood around the dead.

In preferences blood is enabled. I guess it's for the blood pack?

The fact that we'll have to pay for blood to be added is a bit asinine... sure they did it for Shogun, but it was neither good practice then or now. Especially considering there is a toggle for it already existing, it makes little sense to force people to pay extra for a feature they bothered to set a toggle for in the first place. While I agree there needs to be blood added to the game, I really loathe the fact that I'll have to pay for something that in my opinion should have been standard from the start.

Could care less and I know I am not the only one, the blood dlc for shogun was laughable, it was like watching a really bad B movie, for me it made the game look comical and it would here too. If it were at realistic levels you would not see a great deal unless zoomed in making it pointless adding it; after 11 years as a soldier sadly I saw more than enough to last me a life time, but nowhere near as much as silly mods think are necessary for "realism" in the total war games.

I agree there shouldn't be blood squirting 2 meters up, but thats a big difference than just making the men look like they are made of bone and flesh.

The Shogun blood was a nod to the old samurai movies for christ's sake.

And blood should be the very last thing on CA's mind right now. People with Titan's are struggling.

It is a bit awkward to see a man get stabbed through the eye with no blood whatsoever, made worse by the lack of full armor like in Shogun.

This disgrace to civilization should be done away with at once. Heroism at command, how violently I hate all this, how despicable and ignoble war is; I would rather be torn to shreds than be a part of so base an action. It is my conviction that killing under the cloak of war is nothing but an act of murder.

Before a blood pack it's more important to slow down the battle / movement speed or the battle will be over before the first blood drop reaches the ground,...

I don't like blood for blood's sake but it does look noticeably artificial without it.

We need less lethality (longer battles), less blobbing and blood.

The priority should be on giving battles better pacing but I agree that it feels a bit hollow and less...... poignant, like it doesn't convey the brutality that was war back then (it still is today but not in the same way), but as I said it shouldn't be a priority.Lets just hope they don't decide to us over doubly and make us pay for it, though $10 bucks on that they will.Side note, if they do add blood/gore, don't make it S2 style, I liked the S2 style blood for what it was, a throwback to samurai movies but I would prefer more realism, small, slow blood pools, blood around wounds and blood on the weapons and parts of the soldiers.
