getting owned on prologue (lol)

Yeah i don't know what the difficulty is but it's hard with this garrison system. Especially since you can't leave armies behind. So i took that first minor settlement next to Capua. But then the advisor tells me to set sail for the next Samnite province to attack. Once I land my legion on that settlement, I get attacked by the Samnites on the first settlement. The garrison is so crappy that there's no way I could win. Somehow the Samnites bring another army and head straight for Capua. I can't rally my army fast enough and get owned, and lose the prologue lmao. Any tips?

You can raise a second army from memory. Build that up and move it down to defend that province.
