Dear CA,
This is an official petition for clarification on how to multiply unit sizes. This was confirmed in various interviews, most recently in an IGN interview here - http://uk.ign.com/articles/2013/08/1...al-war-rome-ii in which the game's Lead Battle Designer Jamie Ferguson says,
"A high-spec machine can enjoy up to 32,000 units on the battlefield during a single real-time encounter. If you’re seeking further glory and are willing to push your PC harder than your legionaries, Jamie casually mentioned you can tweak the preference files to double that number to 64,000. "
This is usually achieved through editing the "campaign unit multiplier" parameter in the "preferences.script" file. This multiplier is not there any more.
Some of us only play with increased unit sizes and this has prevented many of us starting a campaign - we would greatly appreciate anyone from Creative Assembly pointing out what has happened to this option and whether we can still implement it.
Many thanks for any help.
