Do i need alexander for RS2.6?
Do i need alexander for RS2.6?
no. But the AI is acting better and smarter on Alexander than on BI or Vanilla.
However you miss out on shieldwall if you don't play with BI, and (correct me if I'm wrong) swimming, I believe. Not that there is much swimming to be done.
My personal experience is that BI is more stable than Alexander, and we have found that the AI does indeed retrain units in both RTW and BI.....it was a matter of adjusting the retraining costs so the AI would do it. And Alex ahs an issue with ambushes. So i find it really offers little.

Well i think AI is a little better in ALEX , but it's great to hear that retraining works also in RTW and BI!!And about the ambushes in Alex, didn't you fixed that with "ALEX formations_ai" file in important_stuff folder?
Crickey. Just finished installing it over alexander after I heard it was better and now dvk says Barbarian invasion is better? What do?
You can always choose game engine in RS laucher. Select whether you wish to play using R, BI or Alex. Though, I'm not sure if you have a campaign already started using one engine and then switch to other engine, whether this can cause any trouble or is even save-compatible (I think it should be ok).Crickey.
