Why no reviews?

Usually for AAA games there are reviews 1 or 2 days before the release, i still have not seen a single review for rome 2 and i am just wondering why that is, are CA afraid that they will receive negative reviews so they haven't send the game for reviewing, there might other reasons but that is the most valid reason why there aren't reviews for a game, such as this, Joe says that the game company didn't let anyone review their game before release, and you can see why lol, and if you think the game is too big and reviewers need longer well they could have send the game 5 days before lunch so 3-4 days should be enough to get through a campaign or at least see most of the stuff in the game, well i sure hope it turns out good.

True, well like i said almost every triple A game gets review before launched, dunno why i have not seen rome 2 yet...

I thought the review embargo lifted today, if I recall correctly, so maybe give it some time(though they should be out in EU, etc. by now). Or it's the new way to release a game these days. Spend money on marketing to get the hype going, embargo reviews, and release a demo after. Used to be that a good demo and magazine previews/reviews were the way to go. But considering the game will probably be ~$30 in half a year(or even at Christmas for some sites), making $60 right out the gate is probably top priority.

Edit: Also like to add that it really doesn't matter. Look at the glowing reviews ETW got, and the game was a p.o.s right out the gate.

Embargo ends today at 15:00 (GMT + 1). Czech Eurogamer confirmed their review is ready and will be released at 15:00.

Also a lot of reviewers don't release their articles until they have played the final product...it wouldn't be much use to you if they don't play the day-1 patch or check how the multilayer works under server strain.

Reviews on AAA sites are paid anyway, so why bother? Only user reviews interest me and those will come out, when the game comes out.

The review copy will surely be an old build of the game, because they won't have the day one patch. Meh! Tomorrow I will be playing the game and won't be reading to much about reviews.
