Pre load a incoming hard copy

Hi guys i spent over a month working towards getting Rome 2 and i pre orderd it through amazon and it will get to me o the release day because mailmen cannot deliver on labor day?
I am really frustrated seeing that in eastern time(where i am) the game comes out 3 a.m.I do not want to have had spent so long trying to pre order only to wait after the release (why was the
release set after the holiday anyhow?)

I just want to know is there anyone who knows if i can somehow activate or pre load Rome 2 on steam using my amazon account as proof of purchase?I can screen shot and send account info to the devs.Please any way?(going to ask directly to devs so you may see this as a copy paste)

Nope. If they did you'd essentially be getting a free copy of the game, as I doubt they know what the steam key for your physical copy is.

It was set internationally by a japanese company in colaboration with a british studio. And the release day isn't a holiday so the mailman should come with it then, right? I am in Germany and they haven't send out any copies yet so I will get mine on the 3rd at noon while the game is unlocked at 9 am in the morning here. I will have to wait as well (not as long yes), but it might seem like they didn't care about the specific people in their audience that live in the US, want to get a hard copy and also play as soon as the game is unlocked. I don't know at what times of day you sleep but maybe just go to bed at a normal hour and then wake up to the mailman arriving and start playing then. That's my plan at least.

Honestly I felt the same way as you but ordered my copy from a local gamestore in town and they said I wouldn't be able to pick it up until later in the day

so I'm going to a local walmart in town and buying the game at midnight

Seriously people, stop ordering physical copies, you are delaying the release for everyone :p

Ya, its just i wanted to have a physical for nostalgia's sake.Guess nostalgia has a price.It is a problem for me because i am an officer in quite a few groups that are having events the same day as it releases and where i am it release 3 am and i get the game end of day they said.(hopefully earlier)

got my physical copy on Friday, got bored and decided to preload it anyway :p

unless you have the key contained on the back of the manual inside that physical copy, there is no easy way for you to do it tbh

you cannot use any receipt or anything else as proof of purchase, for Steam you NEED to have that game key to enter, Steam/Valve will not accept anything else
