Trying to edit diplomacy, can't access table
Hi guys, I'm trying to make some mods to diplomacy, which I know I've made in the past, but I've forgotten how I did it! XD I'm attempting to follow this thread: http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showt...macy-fixed-too But I'm falling at the first hurdle. My version of DBeditor, which is the most recent one I found, doesn't even have a table for diplomacy_attitudes. I extracted the table through the PFM from patch.pack, but every time I try to use the PFM to edit the file, it either says that it can't support that file yet (using one version of it), or tells me that it's been superseded by the DBeditor, and won't let me look at the actual table. What am I doing wrong?

Re: Trying to edit diplomacy, can't access table
Hi! you have to use any ESF editor. DB or PFM are for data files, but you have to change startpos file which is an ESF file. If you had done changes before to diplomacy, for sure you have the ESF editor in your computer unless you have deleted it.
This is the startpos modding tutorial, there is part dedicated to diplomacy. Level 2, part 5.

Actually, I figured out how to find the table in the end. Purely by chance, I discovered where the attached file in the post I linked to was supposed to go, and that let me edit the table. All I really wanted to do was edit the Territorial Expansion penalty to not be so severe, and to make the War! penalty go away over time, so factions who are at war but never fight are more likely to make peace eventually.
