    Default Half of my millitary units cannot be recruited!

    Playing as Crusader states, now in late campaign, I cannot recruit anything from the millitary orders. Not templars(knights, spearmen, ...), nor Hospitalers, canons of the holy sepulcre, or even knights of jerusalem. Same with all siege weapons exept ballista.

    The turns it takes for one of these units to become available are not passing, a templar cavalry unit takes 7 turns to show up, but after 28 turns, it still on 7. The same with all the other orders. So far I've only had millitia type units available for recruiting, and I've been doing well considering, but I need proper offensive units if I'm to expand properly.

    Im playing on VH VH with:

    Savage AI;
    BGR IV;
    Limited activities;
    Longer Assimilation;
    Permanent Arrows;
    Permanent Watchtowers.

    What could be causing this?

    Did you disable Real Recruitment? I'm not 100% sure but maybe you no longer have a general with 'War Council Member' ancillary/retinue governing that castle. That or your Faction Leader declared Right to Knight Restricted? I don't know anything else that might cause this.

    Ok, I noticed that all my generals are average or minimal recruiters. This needs to change. What manual am I looking for?

    IIRC, a lot of your units aren't available if you don't hold Jerusalem, but your post implies you have it. From what you describe and what I've seen myself, I think it's a game mechanic. I remember when I first played them, I got the Templar Spearmen, so I trained a unit, and my jaw hit the desk when I saw the refresh time was 18 turns. However, a few turns later, it was down to 12 turn refresh rate, and later I swore it got to under 10, but then in other areas where I built the appropriate buildings to get them, their refresh rate started out ridiculously high and went down over the course of a few turns. I didn't play that campaign very far in though, so not entirely sure how it works.

    The OP explicitly mentioned that he was running BGR.
