    I think that the R2TR team just sold this game for many people. Will your first release be more minor things like the removal of fantasy units and cosmetic modifications to the campaign map? Perhaps some stat and battle speed adjustments?

    They should, or maybe someone else will do it. A mod that might come out in a week that kinda touches up the game a little, removes some units and adjusts some stats to make it better. Just to have something within the first week or two rather then months before a release of a major mod.

    Regrettably, we don't allow advertising of mods in the GD section since it's all about vanilla game not mods. We do it because then every other mod team will promote (as witnessed in the past) their mods by making threads here and not in the intended sections.

    Rome 2 is not far away now. Please wait for its release, and WIPS forum, and then this thread will be transferred there and in the mean time you guys can create a thread in the RTR forum and put this announcement in your sigs to attract members there.

    If you have any objections then you can talk to the site administration about it by posting in the moderation commentary thread or creating a new thread in the commentary\Q&S sections.

    Guys, we will soon post our modding plans for next few weeks and months, as you all know, creating a full mod is time consuming thing. Plus, this game will be heavily patched by CA in following next few months, so creating anything huge will be problematic anyway as each new patch would require us to completely rework everything done. Anyway once editors are ready, you can expect some minor combat and campaign balancing changes in most critical areas.

    Thanks for doing this guys, however I'm concerned that the game is fundamentally flawed and it would take a complete redesign to make this into a great experience. Still holding out hope though.

    Are you guys going to remove the limitation on areas on the map that only allow a city with three plots? I should be able to grow any city to six plots. This game revolves around changing history.

    Good,at least this time we have team mods,of course i will have mine to,is good to receive some rep points, but team mods is what miss since medieval 2.

    The game has so many flaws that maybe even CA will tweak some of them, so i guess there will come a bunch of
    patches that like to mess up a modders work.

    I remember the first steps of the original 'RTR': a tiny mod that was more like a bunch of tweaks that nevertheless made the game so much more enjoyable. From that it developed into something truly spectacular and best of luck to you guys in doing the same! Despite its flaws CA has made a great game, but mods like this and the modding community overall is what makes these games so longlived and ultimately worth every buck, for me at least.

    Awesome news, great news actually, I'm glad we have people coming forward to fix this pile of offal.

    And please, tone down the depleted uranium bullets that the slingers are using, the are way way over powered.
