Default Unable to remove AI Suite 2 1.01.30

    Hey guys.

I've run into some problems while attempting to remove AI Suite 2 1.01.30

The program just refuses to leave the computer, and I suspect that it is causing crashes whenever I attempt to shut down the computer, and gives me error messages whenever I start up the computer.

The things I've tried so far.

    - Uninstalling it through add/remove programs. The uninstaller simply doesn't respond.
    - Attempting to open the program itself; nothing happens. The program won't respond.
    - Closed any and all AI Suite processes and tasks in Task Schedule, Applications, Processes and Services
    - Attempted to manually delete its folder; Error message, Folder is being used in another program.

Have you tried removing it in Safe Mode?

    Yeah, that doesn't work either.

But on the bright side, I did manage to remove the program. Apparently it was tied to some other program that was causing issues with it, so i had to disable both of the programs in order to delete it. So it worked, thankfully.

Now I'll just be scouring my computer for any leftovers or registry keys

I believe the program has been causing my computer to get stuck at Shutting Down... (and causing it to crash), so I really hope to see some improvement now as it's gone.

Check the Installshield/uninstaller folder, too. I have found leftovers from programs in there, too.

Talk about ghost in the machine; AI suite is still in the Add/Remove programs list, even though it has no files and no uninstaller left either.

Any idea how I can track it down in the registry?

Yeah, if I knew what to look for. I never had the program.

In regedit Find, have just gone through all of the "ai" it finds even though 99% won't be relevant to you?

Have you tried finding the program's publisher in regedit?

sincerely in these moments I just do a precision F strike and wipe out the rebel scum, i.e. wipe and reinstall windows. its too much of a hassle to find things that are left over and may break more things in the future

I seem to have narrowed it down to a driver, but I'm not sure which.

I'll attempt to update all my drivers before I go on with a round of elimination. Hopefully it should solve the issue.

I think I'll explore some less extreme options before calling down the Exterminatus

You could try revo uninstaller. If it is still in add/remove, it might show up in that as well, in which case, it might be able to find and remove whatever is left.

I actually already tried the trial version of it.
Unfortunately I wasn't able to actually trial it due to it requiring me to have a paid serial key in order to use the trial.

But on the topic of drivers; do you guys know a good tool for detecting & updating all your drivers automatically?(that's free)
