Hi, I am a little confused what the Post-Marian check box at the launcher does, could someone tell me how it works?

I always assumed it made your generals post marian generals but I've never tried it. I'm curious too
Yes. When you activate that the roman generals have the post marian model, instead of the pre-marian one from the beginning. Without this you need to trigger the marian reform to chance a roman general from pre-marian to post marian.
Wait, what? How do I get my family members to have the "roman armoured general" bodyguard unit with the post Marian general? I've never seen this so called "checkbox" you guys are talking about. Is that because I'm playing this mod on a Macintosh?
I always assumed you got the post-Marian-looking commander by building a certain barracks in Rome or something. That is, the building that lets you recruit late praetorian cohorts or something. Am I wrong?
It's part of the Launcher setup. I assume the Mac-interface has one?

RSII 2.5/2.6 Tester and pesky irritant to the Team. Mucho praise for long suffering dvk'.
It doesn't have one, no. However, I think editing a preference file should do it. I forget which, though, so I would also be grateful if someone could point to the file which contains the RS2-specific settings.
Pff. Whatever. I just opened the document called "descr_character.txt" and under the "Romans Brutii" entry I changed "greek_general" to "roman_general." After that, I now have the post-Marian Roman general with the fancy white plume. Sweet!
