Default Romain got but no troops?

    Hi there,

Juts caught this last week and loving the mod. Problem is that I've installed the I Govt in certain cities but I can't see any troops to recruit in the browser. For example Patavium is pretty large now - I've built the regional barracks (which initially give access to freed slaves or such) but nothing else to build.

This seems to have happened elsewhere in the Italian mainland - any advice?

As you are duly aware, there are two types of barracks: factional and regional. Factional barracks allow you to train the troops uniqe to your faction in territories belong to faction's homeland, or territories viewed by your faction as belonging to your faction's land of origin. Factional Barracks grant you generally speaking more troops the closer they're build to your faction's capital. With Regional barracks it's generally the other way around. Regional barracks allow you to train troops unique to the culture of a region. Regions with a strong martial culture allow you to train more and/or stronger units, depending how much independency you allow them to retain this culture (signified by government type IV, semi-autonomous or allied regions). In your homeland, government I regions, you can train your faction's unique troops, in non-homeland regions with government types III, and better still IV, you can train more non-factional troops depending on the region. In between those are regions with a culture related to your faction's culture, in those regions you can build government type II which gives access to both factional and regional troops.

Some regions have few regional troops, others many. Check the unit viewer to check which regions have many, whether your faction can train them and which government type is required for them. Hope this answers your question.
