Looks great although I was surprised that menu looks like in vanilla. Otherwise very nice mod but I would like to see House Reed more completed (since they are my faction in HS ) and perhaps it would be better to have only conifers as trees because of cold climate.

I will take a closer look later when I will have more time but you didn't dissapoint me. +rep

I thought you guys who will play the hotseat could have a first look before we start, if any faction is unbalanced like in this case maybe House Reed, I could do some final adjustments in the descr_strat to even the score!

But one thing I have to say is that the unit sizes. I made sure to set options to huge unit sizes. But many of my units are 62 men strong... I don't like having to go and edit the file where the unit sizes are to fix everything where it makes sense. Other than that, great mod .

Just downloaded this mod but once I get to faction selection screen and choose my faction and I hit start it freezes and I have to end program. It's not a CTD so I'm a little confused. Have every other mod for WTW that work fine. Redownloading at the moment but if anyone has an idea I'd appreciate it. Mod sounds awesome and really really want to get at it.

As per usual, is UAC off?
Is your daylight saving time off?
I had this exact problem with FaB submod, a quick fix was to run a custom match first, when it works then run the campaign.

Thats all I can think of.

I got the same issue but you have to patience and wait for a few seconds and then game will start loading. At least this is how it worked for me.

Sorry for third post, but I am confused on some things on gameplay. I started as the Umber Faction after I increased unit sizes as high as possible and I noticed some flaws. First of all, Umber does not start with a diplomat, neither can we recruit one because we don't have a city (I only managed to recruit a diplomat when I took over the Dreadfort). I don't know if this affects any other factions, but I would guess House Reed and Karstark because neither one of them owns a city as well.

I also think House Bolton is a little too easy, seeing as they are the main antagonist (if you support House Stark). This is my own opinion. I am playing VH/H. Their forces are not numerous and they are spread out. At the beginning using all available forces given by game, they might be able to get just under 2 stacks. I quickly took 4 settlements, including the Dreadfort with not even 1 full stack in just 10 turns (actually I kinda forgot how long in took, but minimum was 10 turns. Still bad.). The only reason why I stopped taking Bolton settlements was because Manderly attacked me.

There are some issues with diplomacy in my opinion. No one starts out at war with each other. I was under the impression that Stark and Bolton would start out at war with each other...but no. Even more to my surprise was that early on when a Stark diplomat approached me (because I couldn't approach them) I made an alliance with them. That is not the surprising part though, round turn 40 Stark turned on me, besieged Last Hearth and made an alliance with Bolton. A tad bit odd seeing as how Stark and Bolton were supposed to be fighting each other for control of the North, but they allied to attack me.

Another thing, I am worried that there are not enough settlements for a prolonged campaign. Me, I like a very long campaign and I don't think there are enough settlements for that. How many settlements total are there?

Not saying its a bad mod, I think you've done very well with it since you've been juggling both this and Essos Total War. Quite the opposite, I enjoy it a lot. But some of it doesn't make sense in my opinion.

Complaints aside, I have some questions.

-Do you absolutely need to include the Nights Watch and the Wildlings? Seeing as how this mod focuses on yet another conflict between Stark and Bolton, I don't see how either NW or Wildlings will fit in with this. Are you planning on making a side conflict with the NW and the Wildlings? Like an event that says that the Wildlings are moving against the Wall once more since the North is in a civil war. (I know this is not lore friendly, but it could be a possibility.)
-Second, why don't you make Houses Mormont, Karstark, and Glover playable factions instead of lands belonging to House Stark in the game? I for one think that is a good idea.

That is all I have for now ^.-.

    Cheers, mate.

Edit: Yeah, I just went back to play as Bolton to make sure my estimate on their starting forces was correct. It was, just under two stacks. I think they should start off with at least 3 stacks and at max 4.

Quite a bit of work left to do Korps. Overall i look forward to playing quite a few Hotseats with this, so many possible scenarios to play out.
@HouseStarkFTW: I'll leave Korps the pleasure of answering all those questions, but the reason for no playable Mormont, Karstark, and Glover factions is simply down to them holding barely any land. I'd guess anyway...

To get the best out of this mod i'd recommend joining in the next Hotseat for it that pops up.

True I guess. But wouldn't that up the difficulty though? Lets say you are playing as House Mormont and you only have Bear Island, it would be difficult to take land and then hold it. The more difficult things are the more fun it is, right?

Although, I don't think that there is a mod that has House Mormont, House Glover or House Karstark as playable factions so I guess it would be time consuming to do all the skins and Idk about.

Regardless, I think it might be a useful idea to invest in. Anyway, you all definitely know what you are doing and the game is fine without it.

@HouseStarkFTW Anything 'wrong' related to the actual playing of the game, combat difficulty, diplomacy ect. Ect. Is failings with m2tw itself. Bolton might actually be a very strong house played by a human player.
    @Korpskog I will download today

@Sila19 you either change the sizes in the game options, or, you go in to export_descr_unit, scroll down to the unit(s) you want to change and edit a line which looks a bit like this: soldier Norse_Archers, 48, 0, 0.8 the first number is the amount of soldiers in the unit at normal size (huge is 2.5 times as large) second number is the amount of officers. You can put it up to a maximum of 100 I believe to make a huge settings unit 250

    Oh boy here we go...

    @leadhead & Ice

what you are experiencing is the game creating a blank new "map.rwm" out of all the different .tga files! It might take a minute or two but it is only the first time you launch the game. Patience!

About unitsizes: I thought it would be cool to change some of the unitsizes and make them smaller, basicly because there is a lot of minor lords in game. For example the NE Bodyguard now generals have 5 bodyguards instead of 30 which is way more realistic to Westeros. If you want to change them just have a look at the EDU from youngbloods and change back the first numer after "soldier" for the units you want to change back.

    edit* thanks Stannis

The AI is retarded (can't be corrected just worked around) However I thought there should be some alliances.. maybe that got eaten up by Geomod

As for future versions this was just a fun project that I started when hitting a major CTD with Essos TW after 4 hours of coding and lack of backup saves (ragequit). I actually just wanted to make a new map out of nothing and saw some potential with The North but it might aswell have been The Reach or The Iron Islands. I will eventually pick up the paste with Essos and leave this to other modders, a while ago there were somebody who wanted to create The Free Folk.. now he can.. kind of like that

And don't feel sorry about asking a lot of questions HouseStarkFTW this is why it is named a BETA. Also you Stark fanboys are hard to please but this should keep you occupied for a while!

Alright just had a wee look-see and smiled at the three sisters... I say this with a big IF:
IF you (another modder) were to add in an 'Arryn' faction or simply three sisters faction, the mod (a submod) could then be set during the Age of Heroes (or whatever it was called) during the wars between the North and the Vale over the lordship of the sisters. Or you could simply (as this is a fictional mod) add in a little bit about the Sunderlands wanting to have revenge for the Rape of the Sisters... Aside from the UI:

EDIT: If you want I can be really nitpicky about some of the family trees
