Total War Trailers

Do any of you video editor out there know how CA make the game look so good in there trailers compared to in the actual game? We begin to see this in the empire land battle trailer, and I actually thought that thats what the game would look like. Obviously its some hard core editing, or a special graphics pack they have that only runs on super computers, but it would be nice if they would give us the pack for though of us with high end rigs.

What do you guys think?

There's masks and filters in video editing software that give you the effects you want. Plus, if you give a shot the perfect angle it makes something 10x better than if you were to use another angle. It's typical for companies to spruce up some of their trailers with some good video editing but most things CA put up is pure gameplay videos. Special graphics pack sound a bit bizarre and I've never heard of that before.

I'm no video editor, but i'm pretty sure the processing done on things like the shogun 2 intro movie can't be done in real time. It's like a pixar movie (maybe not exactly, but nearer that end of the complexity scale), it can take days to process seconds of footage on multiple machines.

Shogun 2's intro is a CGI movie, if memory serves correctly. Those cost millions to make.
