    Icon4 expanded construction options

So, I wondered how I could spend my income, and asked in PM over it, the result was that buildings that I wish to make are not on the list although for me it was logical to try to build such stuff, and I need to open a tread over it to discuss it.

I will leave the main part of the PM discussion here to see what its about.

That's a lot of ideas. And some good ones too.

To make these ideas into implementing requires inputs and assent of players and head mod, Stig. So, my advice would be to make a separate thread and copy the PM there. This way, you'll have a lot of inputs on the matter.

The same for the questions. After all, veteran players can give quite a few tips to winning.

I have 3 characters that are 25 or above. As far I know that is 9000 credits in addition.
No clue how the farm bonus is supposed to be handled, once per character, one time farms were bought, or once per farm?

I plan to build up my economy base first, I wish to have a huge crop farm (basic, grain I assume), and a few smaller special ones: Grape, Sheep, Olive, Color Plantation (color dye to be gained from plant-type origin, unsure of proper English name of it)

I also hope to be able to build some more specific things:
Snail Farm (color dye gained from snails or shells like the Phoenician method to get Tyrian_purple as example. Without these there wouldn't be the best looking bright colors, I want House Taras heavily depend on income from color sales)
Winery (to prepare wine from part of the grapes of my own growth)

I wish to make the things so that I still have enough income for at least one trade ship, would prefer to have 3 however. If money remains using it on Butchery, Leatherwork Shop (Tanner?), Shipyard (to make ships and get a percentage income of others building theirs at mine), and an Iron mine (only if possible to build it at Taras)

If possible to have constructions in other places than Athens, I would like to have the Iron Mine in Magna Graecia, same with the sheep farm. Grape farm, Winery, and so on would be around Athens, perhaps with the Snail farm on Crete because the waters there seem to be better for such thing to work out.

Considering how much stuff costs and how much a trader/merchant family needs to build up to become rich I have to say I don't think income is too high, despite noticing a complaint about that somewhere.

I wish to RP about constructions and such, so I hope to clear this up soon. I also don't know how others ordered constructions because as far I can see the thread for rolls is mostly empty, did everyone PM you with their spending?
I still don't get who is main GM and such as well,, as M made most threads I constantly imagine him being that so let me clarify it: You are the one who leads the whole game? What other jobs does M have, if any at all?
I like your ideas for additional farm types. I'd recommend you open a thread with your ideas so that the community can see them and comment on them. If they are well received, they'd be put in the game.

As for economy, you'll have to ask M. He's designed it, he's in charge of it, and he should know what to do with it.

Speaking of which, to clarify: I am the head mod. M and I designed the game together. I was gone for a week when the game launched. That's why he made a bunch of the threads. We're both doing our best to ensure everything runs smoothly, but I am nominally in charge.

    So, lets discuss it.

As a sidenote: I would later also want to build other stuff, like woodcutter/sawmill for preparing wood for the shipyards myself, that will supply my trade fleet with ships, and also getting an iron mine would be only the first step to have a blacksmith, weapon and armorsmith, or the sheep farm would be my startline for a chain of tannery, woolspinner stuff (not sure about English word here), butcher, and so on. Of course I also want to build warehouses for the goods, and escorts should be hired for the merchants too.

erm... if everyone just reads and leaves without a single comment, I may not be able to get any money spending allowed on any kind of constructions o.O

In fact, I just wanted help in PM originally to be able to fix up my wealth and costs, not a public discussion about buildings. This now means I will have to postpone RP-ing even more till it gets decided.

I didn't even really considered that, I just went along the thoughts of "If I have grapes, I want a winery, If I am a merchant family, I want to trade in dye, and olives are pretty greekish too so lets grow that as well."

Basically I don't care much for statistics of them but I want to build these.
