Default Problem with my sound card

My Teamspeak RC2 won't work, nor will my Windows Media Player - here's the error "C00D11BA: Cannot play the file". Anyone know what's going on?

Hey Incinerate, my older computer had a similar problem, except there was no sound at all, do you think it needs a new sound card?

99% of the time people have sound problems because of their drivers, I never actually heard of a sound card breaking before, heck I have a 10 years old sound card from a Pentium 3 with carpet all over it that still works.

@Vanquisher, I have this problem with Oblivion my self, after doing some research I think its just a problem with Oblivion on certin sound cards. Switching to a Sound Blaster Audigy SE fixed it. I never heard of it happen in Windows though.

    Hey!
Dartmund sorry for hijacking your thread, but i think i'll join into the statement.

The thing is that i don't think i've even got a sound card. I've always used the CMI Xeard 3D thing, which now dissappeared(i have no idea how). I do have the CMI Audio config icon but it does not react, when clicked.

This makes me unable to listen to any music, nor even play Totalwar games(well only Rome, which i don't really miss).

Any detailed step by step help would be appreciated(i'm lousy at computer skills)

    Thanks!

Is this an integerated sound card? If so reinstall the drivers from your motherboard disk. If it's a PCI sound card then find the sound card CD and install the drivers from it.

I think it's integrated, as i had a normal, 6 year old card, which i threw somewhere, and i could still play songs. The problem is where are the disks? ? I might possibly lost them. Is there by any chance a link to download them or what?

Yea get any info on the sound cards that you can and do a google search. Start>Run>dxdiag might help on this.
