    Icon14 Rome 1 had Alexander the Great Expansion...

    What about a Rome 2 expansion that focused on Hannibal, Son of Hamilcar Barca.

    He was a Punic Carthaginian military commander, generally considered one of the greatest military commanders in history. His father, Hamilcar Barca, was the leading Carthaginian commander during the First Punic War.

    One of his most famous achievements was at the outbreak of the Second Punic War, when he marched an army, which included war elephants, from Iberia over the Pyrenees and the Alps into northern Italy.

    In his first few years in Italy, he won three dramatic victories—Trebia, Trasimene, and Cannae, in which he distinguished himself for his ability to determine his and his opponent's strengths and weaknesses, and to play the battle to his strengths and the enemy's weaknesses—and won over many allies of Rome.

    Hannibal occupied much of Italy for 15 years, but a Roman counter-invasion of North Africa forced him to return to Carthage, where he was decisively defeated by Scipio Africanus at the Battle of Zama.

    Sure, I don't see why not. Imo it would be better as part of a package with other campaigns though like the Kingdoms exp.

    I would love to see a Carolingian/dark ages era expansion, starting after the fall of the Western Roman Empire, Obviously centering around Charlemagne The Great.

    It doesnt have to be in the exact same start date as the game.

    To name a few (ofc not all accomplished the same things):
    -Attila;
    -Constantine;
    -Epaminondas;
    -Philip II.

    No, both Medieval games started in the late 11th century, A dark ages Total war could start around 500 years before that in late 400s and Charlemagne’s time was around 740 - 814. At this time Europe was politically and demographically alot different to later Medieval times.

    Isn't Hannibal already part of the main game? That is when the era is set.

    I think the year of the five emperors would make an amazing expansion. You start as one of the contenders for emperor after the murder of Commodus in 193AD:
    Pertinax & julius in Rome
    Albinus in Britain
    Niger in Syria
    Severus in Panonia

    there may well be other lesser contenders that could have taken advantage of the murder that you could bring to the fore.
    And of course as all the contenders went off to battle it out, it left vacums in certain provences where troubles were sparked from the lack of the legions and other leaders could appear.

    Agreed.

    And like the Peninsular campaign also the option of playing as Scipio, each protagonist's campaign starting at an appropriate time.

    Hannibal too similar to the base game.
    I'd like a Troy or Rise of Macedon. May be Rise of Persia and Peloponnesian war is good too but honestly no Alexander pls
    Empire II and Medieval III pls

    Game is called Rome 2 Total War, so expansion should be about Romans... Civil Wars would be cool... Sulla vs Marius, Caesar vs Pompey..

    Exactly why the addons shouldnt be Rome based. This time period features so many interesting nations, it would be injustice to follow the Romans for a 3rd time.

    Sorry,but so far, we didnt had a Total War with Caesar as a main protagonist.. We had Alexander, Napoleon, so i think Caesar is really somebody who deserves separate addon...
