Default A thought on the unit silhouettes

I remember a while back, someone was complaining about the yellow "ghosts" that appear when you order a unit to move somewhere. These seem to be replacing the simple circles on the ground from previous games. When I saw the complaint I didn't really think that it looked that terrible as a feature but I also really didn't see the point.

But tonight I was thinking about it again and I realized, this will be an incredibly useful feature in conjunction with the line of sight system. You can make your move orders, hold down space bar to see the silhouettes, and zoom down to ground level and check if your unit will be visible to the enemy from the enemy position. If you have largish units such as elephants it might be difficult to tell when they can be seen and when not, but by using the "ghosts" it would be very easy.

I wonder if this is why the silhouettes were added, or maybe just because CA thought they looked cool.

I really like this feature, in shogun too, i like also when you can see the range of your missile units, this makes it much better to know where your units are heading so you don't end up bunching them up so you can be more effective, i think if you have 40 units on the battlefield it will be really important.
