Release date, is Steam off?

On the Steam page it says: Release in 1 week, 1 day and 20 hours.

So does RTWII release at 20:00 GMT+1?

you can pre-download it sooner anyways, but by my calculations, it should unlock 22.00 gmt+2 (convinient time for me- just enough for few battles before sleep)

This is unacceptable, i asked for ROME 2 at 00:00, not after ive come home from school and have been told i cant stay on the PC past 8 on school nights to maximise attention at school, but i still do stay on, but i would like my game right after school.

I live on the pacific coast and Steam says it will release at 10am, i guess you live in the central time zone. of course the East (the most populous and most important time zone) has to wait till 1pm, poor guys

I guess preload will be available a few hours before 3rd September, but the unlock on steam is going to happen approximately at 7PM GMT.

I would take the steam time as a close approximation of when the game unlocks

sometimes games on a worldwide release will literally be unlocked at midnight, other times they wait until a few hours after, in the morning

past TW games have always been unlocked on midnight though if I remember

iam a bit confused though, if i wake up in the morning at 3rd of semptember and go to my local store, that means that the game wont be there, or i wont be able to play until 20.00 pm?

You can still get it in the shop, but it won't be playable until the unlock.

Edit: We've been waiting for this game for over a year now. A few hours are not going to make any difference.

Based on timer I have on steam, it's going to unlock at 1 PM Eastern Time. Doesn't really matter for me, I'm not going to be back from work until 5 anyways.

Steam is not always accurate i find that it rounds the time up, so if it is 3 hours and 4 minutes, it would most likely say 4 hours for example.

My friend who lives in California (where Steam HQ is located) says his countdown timer on the steam page says 1 week, 1 day, 10 hours until release. It is currently midnight there.

So that means it will be released at 10 a.m California time, which is (-8) for those of you internationally. So knowing this information everyone can do the math to figure out what time it will be released in their country.
