Default On matters of the playable version and demo

Today I took a break from studying and suddenly the question rose up: Where is our demo?

Oh yeah RIGHT there is none!!!

Sign it if you feel the same...

Let's hope CA does not do this again :/

We are just over a week until the main game. Where's the point in a demo?

Being able to try out the game for yourself before deciding whether it's worth shelling out $60 for?

I've never played a single demo in my life that gave me an accurate representation of the final product...and I've played a lot of demos. If there was a demo for Rome 2, chances are, it would've been the Battle of the Nile which had sped up combat which would've put so many people off and gave people and even bigger mis-representation of the final product.

Demos are pointless in my eyes. I avoid them now.

If you are still on the fence from watching the many videos that are out... just wait for it to go on sale. As for TW, if you have invested in joining TWC, posting over 300 post, I'm guess you are committed to TW and you are going to get I R2 regardless of a demo or not.

Yeah they should start work on preparing a demo right now to satisfy you. Forget about balancing and tweaking the game, if you get your demo, it'll all be worth it.

The lack of demo is probably more to do with Sega than CA. Those kind of decisions are usually down to the publisher.

I wish they would have released the battle of the Nile, as a demo... too try out the game, see how it runs and keep me occupied for the waiting

My guess they just afraid to release a demo because people will be dissapointed with the game.

Yeah, see all the pointless threads that alot of people has already made, denigrating the games based on tiny details found in screenshots and videos. Now imagine the shltstorm if those guys was able to spend 24 hours a day nitpicking the demo, TWC would drown in rage.

There's nothing much to discuss since CA mentioned that there will be no demo for Rome II.

    Closed.
