Aristocles clad in rough garments and dressed as traveler waits for the young man to arrive. It would be natural, he thinks. Going alone would arouse suspicions.

Dracon arrives on horseback accompanied by his personal slave Adromischus and dog Socrates
I hear you are headed for Corinth Aristocles, it has been many years since I travelled there and I would join you on your journey.
Nikomedes arrives at front gate of Athens as requested. He is dressed in the simple garb of a traveler with only a dagger and a small bag for provisions at his side. He spots Aristocles and approaches him and says “I am ready to depart and at your command, Aristocles.”
Aristocles is preplexed at the unexpected company, but accepts it.
Very well, you may all come. But the slave is to return back. Also, this is a risky mission with the risk of death. I also want perfect obedience that you will stop when I tell you, hide when I tell you, and flee when I tell you. Agreed?
Dracon nods
Agreed, but I would like to keep the dog its a molossous hound, trained for the hunt and has aided me on many occasions.
The three men walk on with their companion, wondering what dangers lay in their path.
As the men follow the road out of Athens, Dracon turns to his companions
It is good to take to the road again, for too long I have listened to the prattling of old men and a little intrigue makes me feel young again.
