Fire rate
Hi,
I've noticed that some units have better rate of fire (reloading) than others - for ex. Scots Guard is shooting much faster than peasant archers. How did you do It? Fire_delay in descr_unit file doesn't work, I also don't see any line in descr_projectile file linked to rate of fire. Can you explain this mistery?

Re: Fire rate
If there is a different rate of fire between units its linked to the animation.

Re: Fire rate
Thanks, you was right - there are 2 bow animations and 2 crossbow animations with different rate of fire.

Re: Fire rate
No its not hard coded. You have to adjust the animation of the unit. Which is not easy to do.

Re: Fire rate
Scots Guard is a 'Missile' unit which means they have a maximum shooting rate and spray arrows over a wider area at an approximately known range. Peasant Archers do not have this capability, they take their shots at visible targets over a slightly shorter range envelope and hence are classified as skirmish units.
