    Default Skinning issue

    Hello! Thanks for a great mod, and good luck with 0.8. etc.

    I've been trying to reskin a couple of EB skins for my private use. Without succes.

    The problem is, I can't find the damn skins! Where are they? It's not does RUM-files, right? If it is, how do I open them? And god don't tell me you have packed them!

    If you know, please let me know, and I will be forever greatful, k?

    They are Packed. Unit Skins are afaik in the patch_1.pak

    Thansk. But damn.

    New problem. I used that "xpak-thing" you know, to unpack the packs. Problem is, the models_unit/textures/ folder is full of vanila(sp) skins. Not one single EB-skin. afaik.

    This is driving me crazy!

    the .bat file that comes with xpak doesn't unpack patch_1. You'll need to edit it with a txt editor or something.

    I had a skinning issue aswell, just didn't want to start a new thread. I have a new skin ready to go in, but I put it in unit modelsl/textures at it won't show up in game. Do you have to save the .dds as dx3 or 5? I want my new hastati!!

    Please? They are good skins, whoever helps can have them! I got skins to work in RTR before, EB is a *****-slut! But I love her anyway (sounds like all my girlfriends)..

    DXT 5 and generate mip maps

    keep the units and show screenshots to show everyone then you can see if its worth public release

    edit: if you want the people who know these things to find them quicker you'd be better posting this kind of thing in the mod workshop

    From the texture file of the Roman Late Principes in EB, I customized a unit using a skin from Dark Fenrir's last skin pack ( Thankyou Dark Fenrir!) and a shield from a model variation of the Roman Hastatii. I have made this unit into a Bruttian Mercenary, since although they are similar to Roman units, their Greek armour shows the Greek influences that would have been prevalent in the southern italian peninsula during the time of the early Roman Republic.

    This unit has proved to be very useful to my campaigns, both as the Carthaginians fighting their way towards Rome, and as the Romans in their efforts to rid the Latin peninsula of the Greeks ( shown below ).
