    If one turn campaigns are now significantly harder, does that mean that if I played H/H in 2.5 I should now play M/M? I'm not the masochist type of player, I just want a fun game with a bit of challenge.

    I'd just like to say you're doing a magnificent job guys. RS II is without doubt the best mod ever made for a total war game, and a model to what a dedicated modding community can achieve if it had the right tools to work with. After a two-week stint with R2TW, I wonder how many people will go back to RS II. Never stop developing, and I'll never stop being your fanboy!

    Installing over functional 2.5 using Alex.exe

    Apparently everything overwrote OK.

    First attempt to run after patching loaded OK but had only options for battles, not campaigns.

    A little twiddling with the Launcher settings & now I get a CTD during loading of game.

    'Script Error in data/descr_settlement_plan.txt at line 4033 column 13.

    No building in tech tree under type barracks2 level:muster_field 2'

    Edit: I think this is the same problem reported by mav61 in his earlier post.

    Very nice to see this work progessed anyways

    Yeah its the same "'Script Error in data/descr_settlement_plan.txt at line 4033 column 13." annoying and haven't seen a fix for it yet....

    This is like mine - and it's our fault, not the patch/mod!

    Get the full v2.5 Installer from the download site (the one from 10 Sep 12) - next post down in the stickies - if you haven't got it already (most will I'm sure).

    Install this into a new clean RTW/BI/Alex - I'm sure we all have that too.

    The patch by copying the lower level of the v2.6 Zip file (once extracted) do that all the folders copy/overwrite. Then you should be just fine.

    Even after so many installs I found I was out of practice - it's us, the Mod works fine (apart from the little Pontus, etc, bug which is being checked).
    "RTW/RS VH campaign difficulty is bugged out (CA bug that never got fixed) and thus easier than Hard so play on that instead" - apple

    RSII 2.5/2.6 Tester and pesky irritant to the Team. Mucho praise for long suffering dvk'.

    Yeah i have managed to get it going what a drama there has been so many things getting in the way...did a clean install on a retail version had to delete my steam version 2.6 just sent it into space...now my only problem is CTDs in the battles and despite putting everything on low settings it still does it, also apparently theres a new intro haven't seen it yet but all the other 2.6 extras are in there...may revert back to 2.5 i still reckon its the best and most stable version.

    Good news - CTDs post battle I am sure are anti-virus related. Try playing whilst not connected to the internet and with AV disabled.

    so everything needs to be re-installed is what you are saying? am i correct. thats a lot of work

    i have had the same problems starting the mod now with a missing file error, usually in export_descr_buildings.txt. either way. I have clearly placed the 2.6 files in the correct directory, and so this is not a matter of misplaced files. I am going to try a re-install of the patch only after re download from another site.

    ok so i tried the 2.6 files from mediafire and mega and no go. i suppose ill try uninstalling and reinstalling 2.5 now.

    is there some scripts in need to activate each turn on zero turn campaign?

    i turned of advisor, i guess this broke the scripts, i didnt get a text popup first turn with instructions n stuff ?

    should i activate post maritan reform in launcher ? or was this not yet active during hannibal invasion?

    Is anyone able to play to big hannibal battles as rome first turn with high unit details ? My system is getting crushed with everything on highest, only turning down unit details, solved the 8 fps problem. then i jump up to 40 fps.

    rome 0 turn on steam, medium medium no special bloom, i now disabled the high rez units from launcher and vegeation to low detail, it seems its related to vegetation, putting in the battle vegetation one notch down onthe slider boost my fps from 12 to 25

    To know if the script is activated, have a look at your money. A denarius should have been added.
    You only need to do it when you start/load a campaign.
