I would like to see renaissance Europe in the expansion. I think it should start with the emergence of standing armies, and end in an era when gunpowder dominates the battlefield. Personally, I would prefer the expansion to either end in 1648, with the Peace of Westfalia, or in 1715, with the Death of Louis XIV.
Either way, I would love to finally be able to play a game that takes place in the 16th and 17th centuries, as that era has been pretty well untouched in the strategy genre (one exception being the fairly disappointing Cossacks).

American Conquest. They've set the scene with the New World, next they should have the colonial empires in America. Its the logical step and i think it would be great fun!

I'd go for the Dark Ages expansion. Starting around 496 (Ostrogoths in Italy, Syagrius defeated by Franks, Franks became Christians, Prelude of the Eastern Roman conquest of the lost western provinces etc.) till appr. 751 (Existance of Papal states and change of politics of the pope turning his attention only towards the west and not towards the Byzantines anymore).

I wouldn't mind another Viking expansion, although with a broader campaign then the British Isles (personally I would opt for a fairly detailed depiction of Scandinavia, Northern Europe, the Baltic and the British Isles and leave out the Mediterranean/Byzantium, but that's just me) 900 is too early to end it though, about 1050 would be my choice.
Renaissance would be nice as well, although CA don't seem interested in warfare beyond around 1600 it would seem. Something based on the rise of Islam would be very interesting, although it might be too obscure for CA's liking.
Personally I feel that given the much-vaunted addition of the New World in M2TW, this is the most likely venue for any new expansion, "European Invasion" or something. We shall see.
One thing that interested me is CA's experiment with online distribution with Alexander. Some of their recent comments seem to indicate further interest in this area. Perhaps they will go the route of "episodic content" - releasing a number of small expansions online, as Valve are doing with Half-Life 2? Just speculating.

I would prefer something else, like Burgundy 1400-1600, cause it was a terrible force to reckon with, and trade was a plenty within this nation, strong powerful forces, loads of canons, and the city where the palace of Margaretha of austria was settled was in Mechelen, that's why

Dark ages. Moslem invasion, Khazar Invasion, Magyar Invasion, Viking Invasion etc. You also get Merovingians, Carolingians, Byzantines etc.
American conquest more probable though.

Ill say it again.
CA have stated they do not want to do gun fights, basicly means no american expansion games.
The introduction of guns ruins TW's core gamestyle, yes there are mods for rtw and mtw that feature napoleonic factions.... but they are radicaly different from your average TW game.
