    Default Crashing

    I have reinstalled the game twice but each time I load up the patchs and this mod it crashs when I start a campaign or historical battle. I read the installation guide and followed it exactly, any suggestions?

    Delete your map.rwm file found in:

    * c:\RTW\data\world\maps\base
    * c:\RTW\data\world\maps\campaign\base
    * c:\RTW\data\world\maps\campaign\imperial_campaign
    They can be in all or in only some/one of those places.

    There wasn't a c:\RTW\data\world\maps\campaign\base but I deleted the others and now when campaign is selected it gives me a message stating that I should choose from the list. Historical battles simply crash to desktop. There isn't an error message and I installed everything in order.

    Edit: I manually replaced the data folder and was greeted with an error so I ran the RTR_Plat executable and now it works perfectly. I don't know what I did but it worked.

    Thank you

    Ok, I`m glad you got it to work. If you have more problems post in this sub-forum. Happy playing!

    PS: the file "map.rwm" is usually found in your game folder here:
    "Rome - Total War/data/world/maps/base"
    You have to delete it so the game is forced to regenerate it based on the info brought by the mod(RTRPE). The mod also has a "campaign_map_reset.bat" batch file that will automatically run after the patch install is complete. It`s all described somewhere in here:
