Default Where on earth are the Iceni ?

we've seen almost all of the factions in one way or another, either through playthroughs or screenshots of them on the campaign map.

but we've not seen or heard a single thing about the Iceni (apart from the original screenshot that shows them on their faction page)

has anyone seen or heard anything about them yet or is just me ?

The same could be said for the Averni, the Spartans, Epirus and Athens which we've no gameplay vids with or a huge variety of screenshots and campaign playthroughs. I would they are focusing on the most popular factions while it would be nice to see these other factions in action, I highly doubt we will so close to release

I would have liked to see Carthage in action, too.

After Rome, we've seen the most of them
Hundreds of screens, the biggest battle revealed (battle of Carthage) which came with a trailer and walkthrough, and the Hannibal trailer. Also the reveal of the families and a video of the campaign playing as Carthage (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q0GA_jDYfEs). I know we've seen Rome a fair bit more, but other factions to Carthage need attention, and Carthage has been showcased plenty

The Siege of Carthage was way pre-Alpha, and all footage was focused on the Roman troops. The Hannibal trailer was just that a trailer. The play through was just showing off the campaign map and didn't show much. What I meant by saying " I would have liked to see Carthage in action, too." is I wanted to see actual gameplay.

I tried to request a iceni vs gaul skirmish video on the official site, no one else seem interested.

Yeah I'd like to some Iceni and Arverni too. I'll probably see more of them than I'd like when I'm preparing my centuries and I suddenly hear a spine-chilling war cry echo through the battlefield.

I wonder if they'll make use of the carnyx. It has a very impressive and a very haunting sound!

I know there won't be any musicians in the units, but it would be nice to hear them with unit charges etc.

I agree, they have been the least mentioned faction, probably due to the initial negative response. Also, all we saw of the Arverni was in screenshots meant to demonstrate other things, like the Athenians (Gauls attacking):
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:

    and the arrow trails
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:

We did see concept art for their agents, both Gauls and Britons, but this is not enough, it is not gameplay:
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:

(gingers are Gauls, people in blue woad are Britons)

Finally, there is a panorama with armies in it which will presumably resemble generals:
    http://wiki.totalwar.com/w/Panorama more specifically http://tww-data.s3.amazonaws.com/panorama5/index.html

Everything we have seen of these two celtic factions has been brief and insubstantial (apart from the faction reveals, what I have listed above is literally everything)

I know the release is only weeks away, but I bet more (particularly Brits and French) would place an order if the celtic factions got a few screens or a short video
Soon there will be info galore, however, and we won't care anymore

After all of the negativity that was unleashed by the forum after the Iceni were announced, I'm not surprised the Iceni have kept a low profile. Too bad because the Iceni & Averni are 2 factions I am looking forward to playing.

what the hell is wrong with people. iceni will be my favourite faction, i wouldn't have nearly half the interest i have in this game if they weren't playable. they were in the original game and the ancient britons and their conflict with rome is an important part of history.

    1. Nothing is wrong with me

    2. Fine

    3. Ok, I'm glad you enjoy a small tribe that did nothing really in history More power to you.

    4. They were not in the original, only the Britons were. I have nothing wrong with a British tribe, but I want a more important one like the Picts.

    5. If you consider one small rebellion important then more power to you. Heck, they were defeated by a 10,000 man force . The Picts lasted longer.

    6. Stupid? I am not.

    7. Hellnophillic? I love Hellenic armies. Watch this starting from 17:28, please. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ylfbvqKQYAQ It is certainly better than the great Iceni army http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mayA_0XyKPQ

    8. Nutjob? The Diadochi did more than 1000 Iceni empires could.

all the Diadochi did was fight a losing battle to hold onto alexanders conquest as they collapsed slowly and then were crushed by rome

That way you won't see our burning of Rome coming.

The Iceni are the barbarian faction I wanted to see the most of. Not because of their place in history, but because of how CA portrayed them.

This is one of the things I hate the most on this forum; people taking things out of context. Did I say I didn't care about their history?
I'm just curious about seeing CA's portrayal of the Iceni. That's it. I just put down a specific reason as to why I wanted to see them and you had to come by and drop some sarcastic comment. Your trolling on the TWC is really getting annoying to me personally, and a lot of other people.
