Default Units get stuck on walls during sieges

I don't know if this is a problem with vanilla as I only play Third Age. The problem I have is that units keep getting stuck on walls, and units instead of attacking one another on walls will just jitter around. Also, unit pathing on walls also isn't very good as it often causes units to get stuck and freeze when trying to run from one side to the other.

Is there a fix to this or is it a bug innate to Medieval II?

Is this a custom battle in some custom settlement? Or a campaign battle? And, what town is it?

It happens in custom battles, campaign battles and in both generic and custom settlements, and it happens every time.

    1. What Windows do you have?

    2. Is your M2TW steam or non
    steam version?

    3. Have you installed all four TATW
    Installers?

    4. What are your PC specifications, GPU, CPU, RAM? Is it a laptop or desktop?

    5. Do you have this same problem in vanilla M2TW?

    1) Windows 7, 64-bit
    2) Steam
    3) Yes
    4) HD 7770 1GB, 2.8 ghz quad-core, 6GB RAM, Desktop
    5) I haven't tested vanilla extensively, but it doesn't look like it. Moving units to different parts of the wall doesn't cause them to freeze up.

Well, you could try to reinstall TATW and see does it happen again.. Go here ( LINK ), this is a thread with pictures for the installation, and these steps you need to do which are explained there:

    1. Edit the security for your main M2TW folder ( ..steam/steamapps/../ Medieval II Total War )

    2. Remove or uninstall currently failed installation of TATW from your ..steam/steamapps/../ Medieval II Total War/ mods folder. ( if you renamed one of your Kingdoms campaign folder, just delete the one which contains TATW )

    3. Verify steam game cache as explained, and after that, Install TATW using one of the STEAM methods mentioned in my thread, or, use the one shown in the pictures - Renaming one of Kingdoms campaign folders.

    4. For battle crashes, disable daylight saving settings, go to Control Panel, Clock, Date and Time, Change the time zone, Change time zone, uncheck `Automatically adjust clock for Daylight Savings time`. Apply and OK.

    Good luck!
